SHENANDOAH VALLEY CADET OFFICER LEADERSHIP SCHOOL (summer camp 2009) *Click here for APPLICATION*	VA-20065 has been allocated 20 slots to attend the Shenandoah Valley Cadet Officer Leadership School (SVCOLS). SVCOLS (14 Jun- 20 Jun 09) will be held at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV, located in the eastern panhandle, on the Potomac River. The week will include drill, leadership, ethics, first aid, orienteering, water survival, a off campus field trip to either Gettysburg or Harpers Ferry, intramurals, and a real world planning exercise for the corps. Twenty cadets have already applied. There is still room for five more cadets to apply and compete for slots. The final list will consist of those who best meet the minimum requirements below. Cadets are required to pass the PT test, pass all classes, have at least a 2.0 semester GPA, and know all pertinent information in the SLS guide. Training will begin Monday 27 after school. The PT test consists of push-ups (1 min) 30 boys, 19 girls; sit-ups (1min) 40 boys, 30 girls; mile run 9 mins boys, 10 mins girls. EXPLORES JROTC SUMMER CAMP *Click here for APPLICATION*	The Explorer Division is offering any JROTC youth the opportunity to take part in a week-long Summer Experience. This program will feature Team Building on our ropes course, shooting, swimming, sailing and hiking. It will take place at GOSHEN state reservation on 2 - 8 August. The cost is $290.00 for the week.
